2 FOs

Plum Danica (#3)

Pattern: Danica by Jesse Loesberg
Yarn: Patons SWS in Natural Plum, 3 skeins
Needles: US #9 straights
Finished Dimensions: approx. 6.5" wide and 68" long
Blocking: Wet-blocked and pinned

Notes: Now I have two Danicas. I like this colorway a lot better than the Natural Earth that I used for the first one. I'm not too thrilled with how many knots I found in the yarn. And since all the knots were in places where it totally changed color, I ended up undoing the knot and tying the rest on like a new ball of yarn where I started a new square/triangle. It worked--you can't really tell where the color changed randomly--but it left me with a lot of ends to weave in.

Snake Scarf (#4)

Pattern: Kureopatora's Snake pattern
Yarn: Berroco Foliage, #5985, 3 skeins
Needles: US #10 straights
Finished Dimensions: approx. 5" wide by 96" long
Blocking: Wet-blocked

Notes: I bought this yarn as soon as we got it in at the shop intending to make another Danica scarf with it, but when I tried it the colors and texture of the yarn (it seems barely spun in some places and is more thick/thin than I expected) made the squares blend together. So I ripped that out and started on another snake scarf. Instead of increasing to 30 stitches, I only did 27 (there's the ADD kicking in again). I love the design and shape of this scarf, and the Foliage worked perfectly for it (I made a brown version last year in Divé Teseo, which also works perfectly for this pattern).

And for fun, here's some cats.

This is Rocco. He belongs to my brother and his wife who we helped move into a new town house this weekend. So here he is looking a wee bit freaked out about being in a new place.

And, of course, Cece. She's glowing.

Erm. Hi. On your Dark Mark Bag Pattern, you've listed the materials, and even a chart for the Dark Mark...but you haven't the actual pattern listed...is this intentional?

I started a Danica with the SWS I had lying around after seeing you start and it is absolutely a great pattern for the SWS. I had the same problem with the knots but made it work. A picture will be on my blog after I get it back (a friend of mine took it for blocking).
