FO: Diagonal Scarf (#8)
Pattern: Cashmere Diagonal Scarf by Iris Schreier (for ArtYarns)
Yarn: Noro Kureyon (100% wool) #128, 2 skeins; Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted (85% wool/15% mohair) M-05 Onyx, 1 skein plus a few yards from scraps (more stash-busting!)
Needles: US #9 (5.5mm)
Size: about 6.5"x68"
Modifications: None

Notes:I love this scarf. It knit up surprisingly quickly. The color-changing of the Kureyon kept it from getting boring (which was helpful since garter stitch and ribbing aren't that interesting). Normally I dislike garter stitch, but it works really well in this scarf.

This might be a pattern I use for Christmas presents, though I'd probably switch out the Lamb's Pride for Cascade Pastaza (50% wool/50% llama) since it's quite a bit softer.
Labels: art yarns pattern, brown sheep, kureyon, lamb's pride, noro, scarf, short rows

1 Comments:
I like that scarf a lot! It's like the rainbow scarf that I made but more subtle (b/c of the black) and more interesting (b/c of the diagonals).
