FO: Short Row Rib Scarf (#9)
Pattern: Short Row Rib by Ceris Morgan (from MagKnits)
Yarn: Noro Kureyon #88, 4 skeins (stash-busting)
Needles: US #9 (5.5mm) straights
Finished Size: about 5"x80"
Modifications: none
This yarn had been sitting in a drawer for at least a year or two (I can't remember at all when I bought it). I had tried this pattern with some green yarn that I got from HandPaintedYarn, but I didn't have enough to make a decent sized scarf, and you really couldn't see the pattern that well (so, sadly, the green yarn has gone back on the shelf until I have some sort of knitting revelation). When I got on my recent knitting-with-Noro kick, I decided to give this pattern another try, and i absolutely love it.
I was surprised how easy it was to memorize this pattern, and the short rows (along with the color change) really kept it from getting tedious. (Sorry for the craptastic photography. I'm not patient enough to wait for the sun to come back up, nor did I feel like putting back on the makeup I cried off tonight while rereading the end of Goblet of Fire)

I don't really know how to describe this one. Earth-toned rainbow? Works for me.
Unfortunately I had to keep pulling this project out from underneath the cat so I could work on it (needles and all). She was pissed. She seems particularly fond of this project.

That looks great! Love the pattern and colors you chose.
I still cry at the end of the GOF too!
Beautiful! I've been making eyes at that colorway for ages - it looks even better in a FO than I thought. Nice pairing of yarn and project.
I love that scarf! I love Noro, in general. Now I'm going to have to make one. I can't think about anything Harry Potter related at this time because of issues I have with (a) waiting for the new book to come out and (b) the fact that this is the last book. I jus dont accept that fact at all.
