2 FOs: Loopy Scarf (#12) and Short Row Hat (#13)
Two posts in one day! Wee!
Pattern: Loopy Scarf by me
Yarn: Brown Sheep Burly Spun (100% wool), Lotus Pink, 1 skein
Needles: US #17 (12.75mm) straights
Finished size: I forgot to measure it
I made this scarf for the shop, and it only took a few hours (we have a ton of Burly Spun now, by the way).

Pattern: Short Row Hat by Véronik Avery
Yarn: Lorna's Laces Bullfrogs and Butterflies (85% wool, 15% mohair), Black Purl, 1 skein
Needles: US #9 (5.5mm) straights
Apparently I kind of fudged one of the other two hats. I did one less pattern repeat than I should have. Consequently, this hat is a lot looser than the second one, but I really like how it fits. So, in short, if you make the hat in Kureyon, you'll need 2 balls to do the correct number of repeats. Oops.

The diamond pattern is much more subtle in this yarn, but I think it really shows off the colors. I have about 1/3 of the ball left, and I have no idea what to do with it. Wristwarmers?
Labels: brown sheep, bullfrogs and butterflies, burly spun, free pattern, hat, loopy scarf, lorna's laces, short rows, veronik avery

I like the scarf and the hat.
I am just getting the hang of short row.
I am on my third pair of socks using short row technique.
Thanks for coming by my blog.
I am glad you got to see the scarf in opposite.
I am working on the DNA illusion knit scarf now.
