Baby shower FOs and a shop model

Today we had a small baby shower for Sara at work (we're going to have a bigger one after the baby is born) and I knit a few baby hats. Technically one of them was finished *during* the shower since I had the idea last night and realized that I didn't have the yarn I needed. But it's super cute!

Chocolate Mint Bear Hat (#28)

Pattern: 'Bunny Tail' from Itty Bitty Hats by Susan Anderson
Yarn: Dark Horse Fantasy (50% acrylic, 50% nylon), in #22 (brown) and #72 (green)
Needles: US #7 (4.5mm)
Size: Newborn
Modifications: I made the ears 1" long instead of 3" so it'd be a bear instead of a bunny

Brain Slug Hat (#29)

Pattern: my own
Yarn: Dark Horse Fantasy (50% acrylic, 50% nylon), in #2 (lime green), and black and white scrap yarn
Needles: US# 8 (5mm)
Size: preemie

I'll be writing up the pattern for this one in the next few days. I really love how this turned out (even though it was last-minute).

Gray Stocking Cap (#30)

Pattern: 'Pointed Stocking Cap' by Ann Norling
Yarn: Wisdom Yarns Poems (100% wool), #571 (gray), 2 skeins; Cascade 220 (100% wool), #8555, partial skein
Needles: US #7 (4.5mm)
Size: adult large

I made this as a shop model to show off the Poems. Though it felt like this hat was never going to end (I'm impatient), I really love how it turned out. Now I want to make one for myself--maybe out of Noro, since I have so freaking much of it.

I love the tapered stocking cap! I just finished up one too, but mine really is not tapered - it is just long. It's pretty cool. I'm a self taught knitter so I don't really know the tricks of the trade for tapering - will have to find some info on that. Great job on the hat.
