An FO and stash from the party

Pattern: Shedir (PDF--scroll down to pages 3 and 4) from Knitty, with some mods as outlined on Something from Nothing
Yarn: Kollage Yarns Corntastic (100% corn), turquoise, 1 skein
Needles: US #3 (3.25mm)
Finished size: 12" in circumference (unstretched) and 5.5" from cast on to top of crown
Modifications: For the most part I followed the mods listed on the website above--the main difference is I (sort of accidentally) did 5 pattern repeats in a row rather than 6, so I cast on 80 stitches. Also, for all knit stitches, I knit them through the back loop--this twists the stitches and makes the cables/ribbing more tight and defined.

I made this hat for my cousin who is pregnant and due in June. It's a boy, and they're planning on naming him Nathan.
Now to the spoils of the Homespun Yarn Party.
The table right beside mine was Spirit Trail Fiberworks. This was pretty dangerous since she had bins and bins of beautiful yarn. I managed to limit myself to two skeins.

I also picked up a few skeins from Woolarina. The handspun is currently becoming a neckwarmer, and the picture of the sport weight doesn't do it justice. It's bright and fantastic.

I also got a chance (when the crowds died down a bit) to stop by the Sanguine Gryphon. I bought two skeins of the 100% silk (on the left) and I think I'm going to make a lacy scarf out of it. After seeing her yarns in person I'll probably end up ordering more from her website.

I am surprised that you were able to get any further away from your table than Spirit Trail. Your table was mobbed at the start. I will be down to the Celtic Knot soon to pick up some of your yarns. Or maybe online since my niece loves your color sense.
ohh that Korntastic came out great!
