FO: My Pomatomus Hat (#28)
Pattern: Pomatomus Hat by West Coast Creative
Yarn: Woolarina Handpainted Sport Weight (totally awesome yarn)
Needles: US #3 (3.25mm)
Modifications: I did 7 rows of straight ribbing instead of 10, and I did 1.5 repeats (instead of 2) before I started decreasing. Fits perfectly!

You'll have to forgive the blindingly pale pictures that are happening here. One time in college I was told (by a complete stranger, by the way) that if I walked in the sun I'd blind people. I think we just proved that she was correct. Oops.

I couldn't not make one for myself. I totally luuuurve the yarn. The colors are awesome (if you're not in blinding sunlight it looks very close to black) but very subtle. Plus I have leftovers for I don't know what. Woo!
Oh, and just to be extra fun, I seem to be coming down with a cold. My throat has hurt all day, so I'm taking zinc, and I'm probably going to down a ridiculous amount of echinacea in a minute, even though I don't think it really works (but hey, if you take 6x the recommended dose *something* has to happen). Hopefully the zinc will keep it from turning into a full blown cold. Because we know if it doesn't I can't go anywhere near Carole because her eye will blow up and she won't be able to breathe for another 6 months. And somewhere in there Alex will give her another concussion.

Love that color! It reminds me of the BMFA Raven series, which naturally I'm addicted to. Good luck on warding off the illness. Funky things have been going on in my chest and throat for 2 days but nothing's really happened yet. I'm hoping there's just an "almost" sickness going around.
My daughter was just wearing the same hat and getting tons of compliments.
I always go with the Udon soup and hot water with lime juice as my way of warding off impending colds. Not sure they work either, but since your up for trying random things, I thought I would share.
