After making Brie's Rose Red I had to make one for myself. The pattern calls for a DK weight yarn, but I used 220 because I sub it for DK yarns a lot, and I have a lot of it. It came out a little bigger than I think it's supposed to (probably because of the 220), but I like it looser. I don't think I'm going to block it.

Hat nipples are HILARIOUS.
So because the knitting fair was cancelled, I decided to spend the day cleaning the apartment--mainly my desk and craft table. I should've taken a 'before' picture, because without it any 'after' picture probably doesn't actually look that impressive (a normal person's messy is my version of clean)--but it was A LOT of work.
One side effect of cleaning is that Cece can lay on my desk again (or stand in front of my monitor when I'm not paying attention to her). So of course as soon as the desk was clean she jumped up, and discovered the extra catnip pouch for the sheep toy Carole bought for her. And this is what ensued.

I had to grab the pouch away from her and throw it on the floor to keep her from knocking everything off my desk.
Tomorrow I might try and clean the bedroom (oy). The end of the bed has become a depository for my coats, summer clothes that have been there since last summer, and knitted things. I'm trying to be organized, so I'm planning on putting all the knitted accessories into Mike's sweater boxes, which used to hold his Reptile magazine collection (I bet you think I'm kidding). Currently that collection is taking up the top shelf on my giant Ikea shelving unit filled with yarn. The juxtaposition is hilarious. He also managed to snag a cube for biology books.

...one of these things is not like the others...
I also need to put away my knitting fair stock, since it's still sitting in the center of the living room in giant ziploc bags (best invention ever). I also have to take pictures of a lot of it. Sigh. I just want to knit.
