Finish one, start the next

Goblin Clapotis (#30)

Pattern: Clapotis by Kate Gilbert
Yarn: Gypsy Girl Creations Fingering weight, "Goblin", 2 skeins
Needles: US #3 (3.25mm)
Finished size: 8" x 56"
Blocking: wet blocked
Modifications: I did fewer increase sections to get a scarf-sized clapotis. It still came out way bigger than I thought it would.

I really love how this turned out. And it only took a little less than a year!

I bought this yarn from The Fold at MDS&W last year after KnitGlit bought some. HAD TO HAVE IT.

So, of course, right after I was finished weaving in the ends of the goblin clapotis, I cast on for another one--this time with worsted weight. Hopefully this one won't take me a full year. It's my Celestial Worsted in "That girl is poison."

I'm debating whether or not to make this a full sized clapotis or do another scarf sized one in this colorway and do a full sized one in "Feed my Frankenstein". I have enough yarn for either, but I don't think I need two full sized clapotises (okay, what the fuck is the plural form of clapotis?).

Either way this will make an awesome model for shows. It's hard not to notice the blindingly neon clapotis!

Gah! You picked the exact 2 colors of your yarn that I had pegged for more claps! It was a tough call deciding between That Girl is Poison and the one I'm doing now. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! The Goblin clapotis is really nice, too. I love that yarn!

How about Clapotee or Clapotese for a plural?

Love the Goblin.
