FO: Moldy Cupcake (#32)

Pattern: Moldy Cupcake by Julie King
Yarn: Feza Zarone (100% wool) #4705; Dark Horse Fantasy (50% acrylic, 50% nylon), #2 Lime; scraps of mohair for the 'mold'
Hook size: F (3.75mm)
Notions: 9mm black safety eyes, polyfil, clear glass teardrops
Modifications: I changed the shells to 4 double crochets instead of 5 because it totally wasn't cooperating with stitches being so squished. I also added the teardrops, because crying cupcakes are hilarious.

Crochetted this puppy up at the shop. Note: crocheting with a multi-strand yarn is a major pain in the ass.
Right now I have so many project ideas that I can't figure out what to work on next and I end up thinking too much and working on nothing. So the Moldy Cupcake distracted me from my own brain, albeit temporarily. Tomorrow I'll go back to looking through pattern books and stitch patterns and yarn and it'll be 9pm and I won't have knitted anything all day. Maybe I'll make another cupcake.

awww, poor little moldy cupcake! ok, that's almost so cute I can't STAND it!!!
Haha this is awesome! Love the tears and the fuzzy mold.
The moldy cupcake makes me happy. Maybe because I feel how the poor thing looks
Your extra moldy cupcake with tears is "mas bonito" than the original if you ask me. You're getting rather good at these - next you'll be designing I know it.
That is amazingly awesome. If it weren't for the fact that grown people are not supposed to fawn so over toys, I would make one and feature it prominently in my room.
cute!
