FO: Super Awesome Skull Neckwarmer! (#50!)
Pattern: Fourteen by John Brinegar
Yarn: Material Whirled Skull Skein, in chartreuse, approx. 76yds
Needles: US #13 (9mm)
Modifications: I cast on 12 stitches instead of 14 and therefore had to adjust hte buttonhole row. I also knit the button band section first, and then knit until it was long enough. I did follow his stitch pattern on this one--I tried the true brioche rib at first but the skull beads got lost in the ribbing.
This only took an hour or two to make. I had to use it as soon as I got it. And I had these pirate buttons in my button stash which work perfectly! I can't wait till it gets colder so I can wear this!
On a separate note, Mike and I have gotten completely hooked on The Office. I had the first season on my Netflix queue, but when I saw this commercial during the Olympics I pushed it to the top of the list.
We're only through the end of season 2 (I'm pretty sure I went "EEEEEEEEEEEE" for a full 2 minutes at the end of the season finale), and I'm practically shaking with anticipation for the next season, which we should be getting in the mail either Monday or Tuesday.
And Jesus help you if you post any spoilers here. I have a lot of wrath bottled up lately and it's looking for a target.

Zaq and I watched it to about there too. It's so funny, but I haven't seen past that.
That neckwarmer rules. I need to make one I haven't made one in a while! I've just been knitting washcloths to stashbust my cottons.
I LOVE your neckwarmer! That yarn seriously rocks. I made a green and black neckwarmer last month that I have those same buttons for, too. Seeing as how my button "stash" basically consists of random buttons strewn around my house, I currently have now idea where my pirate buttons went and have thus been unable to complete my project.
The Office is such a good show. I only started watching it in January b/c a friend I was visiting had it DVR'd. I immediately came home and bought all the DVD's, then watched them all in about 4 nights. I can't wait until season 4 comes out on DVD. It should be pretty soon.
That is SO COOL! I have the same buttons in stash for my DS's sweater, but I'm loving your use of them more. :)
