FO: Bloody Vampire Armwarmers (#53), plus more!

Pattern: Handschmeichler by Wollmeise (Rav link)--keep scrolling, there's more English
Yarn: Storm Moon Knits Twilight Sock, in "30 Days of Night", about half a skein
Needles: US #2 (2.75mm)
Modifications: I skipped the thumbholes since I didn't plan on wearing them that way. I also cast on with scrap yarn and did a 3 needle bind off instead of teeny tiny seaming.
I LOOOOVE these. I had to finish them in time for Stitches so I can wear them at my booth. After I got a hang of the button holes (which was pretty fiddley at first) they went very quickly, despite the tight gauge and teeny tiny garter stitch.
I got a lot of special orders for Twilight Sock in this colorway (of course, named after the book/movie) while I was working on these. I guess a lot of people saw the WIP pictures on Ravelry. :)

Yesterday I started a new project (why finish the old ones?), which is a neckwarmer out of my Celestial Bulky (colorway: "What dreams may come"). The pattern is called Rachel (Rav link), and it should go pretty quick. Another thing I can wear at Stitches!

The cat continues to burrow into the pile of yarn on the couch.

Today she made a nest with the blanket on one side and yarn on the other--that must've been nice and toasty.

She also found her new favorite box (well, boxes). She just ate--apparently she decided to sit on the boxes and clean her face--and she's been laying on them all evening. They contain the new racks I ordered for displaying yarn at Stitches. I'll probably put one together after work tomorrow to make sure it doesn't suck (you never know). I just had a panicky moment and had to go double check to make sure they're not way shorter than I thought--and they're the same height as me. That should work.

In other news, the new gecko (who Mike has decided to name Ember) continues to sleep in the bromeliad pot. Here she's waiting for me to put food in her tank.

I looooove your arm warmers. They're completely awesome.
Totally love the yarn because it is REALLY DANG HARD to find red/black yarn. Really.
Those are stunning! I love those colors!
I am a fan of what I see, admiration tinged with just the tiniest bit of jealousy of the colours you have at your fingertips!
I don't dye, and often have trouble getting hold of good colours in the UK for my projects
